The 117 miles of Michigan's highway M-22 follow the Lake Michigan shoreline. The southern terminus is northeast of Manistee, Michigan and as it travels norther, tis scenic byway offers multiple views of Lake Michigan. M-22 turn south Leelanau Peninsula's Village of Northport when it ends in Traverse City, MI. A variety of locations related to Great Lakes fisheries heritage lie on or near M-22.
