The Fresh Palate is local community restaurant with a family friendly environment. When you walk in you can smell the delicious foods they cook - and their menu is complete with local fish on their menu of offerings. Joshua Duby (General manager of the fresh palate) is a warm welcoming person, he said “ we take pride in caring for what we are serve to the customers that come in.”

On the menu they offer a selection of whitefish, salmon, perch dishes. The local fish on the menu here are caught and sold, shipped from mackinaw by Big Stone Bay Fishery. Big Stone Bay Fishery fishes the local waters of northern Lake Huron from Harrisville to Mackinaw City – and make extra efforts to sell their fish locally. Beyond fish, The Fresh Palate offers a wide selection of foods, to fulfill your cravings. Warm hearted servers are there to serve and share a wide variety of dishes. They also are an eco-friendly team – serving you only paper straws in an effort to reduce single use plastic use in Alpena..

So if you find yourself hungry in Alpena – check out The Fresh Palate. They also occasionally have music events out front of the establishment. Local musicians of the area perform in front of the restaurant and the electric feeling is beyond imaginable. The food and music works in perfect harmony. Locals frequent the restaurant just to enjoy the sights and sounds of downtown Alpena. The restaurant is a treasure to Alpena, Mich. It's an all-around fun for all ages.
