A local non-profit historical society celebrating Beaver Island history and heritage, including significant attention to the Great Lakes fisheries history and heritage connected with the Island. The Beaver Island Historical Society offices are located at this address, along with one of the Society's museums interpreting local island history. This site has a large focus on Native American influences on the Island, and has a couple related spearfishing artifacts worth visiting. This site houses the collection of historical photographs and oral histories dealing with commercial fishing in the Beaver Island archipelago.
