The MV Joy is one of the commercial trap net boats operating out of Leland, MI. Built by Leland fisherman Ross Lang in 19___, Joy is owned by the Fishtown Preservation Society and leased to commercial fishermen who fish for Whitefish and Laketrout in the Manitou Passage.

The MV Janice Sue is a traditional enclosed fishtug sometimes called a "turtleback" tug that is used to fish for chubs with gill nets. The enclosed tug provided shelter for fishermen working at all months of the year.

Visitors to Leland,  MI  can view Janice Sue and Joy from the docks at Fishtown and might even be on hand when the day's catch is unloaded!
